India is proudly hosting the G20 summit on September 9th and 10th, 2023. The meetings will take place in different important cities and towns, with the main discussions happening in New Delhi at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan.

The G-20 family includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the U.K., and the U.S. Plus, the European Union, with its rotating council presidency and the guiding hand of the European Central Bank, also adds its voice to this global conversation.

Getting Ready for G20: India is in charge of the G20 meetings, taking over from Indonesia on December 1st, 2022. India is a big democracy and has a fast-growing economy.
Why G20 Matters: G20 started in 1999 to talk about money and finance, but now it’s about 19 countries and the EU talking about important things together. These countries have most of the people, trade, and money in the world.
Two Parts of G20: G20 has two parts: one for money and finance experts, and another for country leaders’ helpers called Sherpas. These Sherpas come up with ideas and plans for the leaders.
